After the transesterification of vegetable oil to biodiesel and a successful separation of the glycerin deposit, approx. 20 - 25 % methanol still remains in the glycerin. By using the BD-10G Recovery Unit, the methanol can be distilled and returned to the transesterification process. This unit requires 80 - 90 °C  warm heating water to heat the biodiesel. Cold vegetable oil or water can be used to cool the condensers. A vacuum pump exhausts the methanol gas and  pushes it through the following condensers. Finally, the liquefied methanol accumulates there and is pumped to a buffer tank. The unit BD-Recovery can process crude biodiesel as well. The capacity of the unit can be easily extended by additional modules.
