For small biodiesel plants electric heating can be the best solution. Also pre-heating waste oils or animal fats can be done with an electric heating element. This heater can be integrated in a circulation pipe. An internal thermostat regulates the temperature to the maximum value of 75 °C. Additional a safety swich limits the heater to 98 °C. The electric heater with 9 kW is built in a stainless steel pipe with a diameter of 100 mm. For safety the heater can only activate if the circulation pump operates.
